Photography, as a memory-keeping practice, has been a long-time tradition in my family. There are numerous boxes here at home, filled to the brim with snapshots and stolen moments taken with the help of my parents' trusty Nikon FE. But film photography is an expensive hobby and carting around a vintage camera that counts as a family heirloom is nerve-wracking.
After my mom passed away suddenly in 2021, I found myself turning to mobile photography as a low-stakes creative exercise with the help of my Oppo Reno 8T 5G (yes, mobile photography is valid photography). And while I started out experimenting with taking shots of my hobbies (gaming, books, my ever-evolving desk set up), somewhere along the way, I just started to fall in love with the small, stolen moments.
Today, I treat photography as an extension of the poetry I post over on my Instagram account. My work is focused on mood-driven, creative mobile photography, capturing everyday scenes in Metro Manila.

How many of them have I been missing?”
